Joel McHale is known for his hilarious commentary on the craziness that is pop culture on E!'s The Soup, and of course his lead role as Jeff Winger on the cult comedy, Community, formerly on NBC and now available on Yahoo! Screen.
This past Thursday saw the conclusion to the two-part season finale of NBC's stellar intellectual comedy, Community. Expanding on the premise of last season's paintball episode, this year's vision was much grander in scope.
Thursday night's episode of Community was the type of offering we've come to expect from this groundbreaking, often dense and sometimes even inscrutable program. There was once again lots of meta-humour, recurring themes and signature behaviours from off-kilter archetypes, and the type of clever wordplay and pop-culture references that inspire awe.
The new fall television season is upon us! I know I'm not the only one who's excited. While cable has come on strong over the last few years with some exceptional series, and the internet takes more and more of our time each and everywhere, there still isn't quite anything like network television.
The North American* Genius Monkey Comedy Award is given to a comedy writer/performer who is on his or her way up. Because comedy is not at all objective (despite how much we wish it was), ShowbizMonkeys.com figured that coming up with the absolute funniest comedian each year would be an impossible task.
It's fall again, which means it's time for the annual return of the TV season. This year's batch of both new and returning comedies looks extremely promising.
