When there is blood and chum in the cinematic waters that's always the first sign the summer season of movies is over and Halloween is not that far away.
The sophomore prom has ended. Well, the school-sponsored part of the night is over, anyway. The drama, however, is only just beginning.
The season finale opens with Naomi in the bathroom, telling her sister all about Liam's difficult childhood.
This week, everyone is gearing up for the... Sophomore Prom? I did not know such a thing existed, but I'll go with it.
Harry has created a cautionary video warning his students about the consequences of underage drinking at prom after-parties (the worst of which seems to be suspension in his mind).
It's Valentine's Day, and we all know what that means: At least one couple will have a fight.
The story picks up with the aftermath of Ethan's car accident. Annie is walking around the hospital with her parents, frantically trying to find her boyfriend. They finally track him down, and he's walking and speaking lucidly and all that. Rhonda, the girl that was driving the other vehicle, however, wasn't so lucky. She's in surgery.
Ryan Matthews has returned to West Beverly, and in light of what happened earlier this year, he has taken a new approach to teaching: Rather than being the cool, young teacher that everyone loves, he's going to be a hard-ass.
Annie is talking to Ethan on the phone about the heat wave they're going through. She tells him she's wearing practically nothing, and he asks to hear more. Annie is awkwardly describing her black negligee when Debbie picks up the other line and tells her daughter to get off the phone. She hangs up, and Annie and Ethan say goodbye.
Annie and Naomi are standing outside, arguing, when some guy approaches. He tells them he's Sean, the son of Harry Wilson and Tracy Clark, and, when each girl introduces herself as his half-sister, mistakenly assumes that they're related to each other.
As the title suggests, this week's episode is all about secrets and lies, four in particular. Harry's secret is an old one: that he has a son with Tracy Clark. Two couples (Annie & Ethan and Ryan & Kim) are hiding their relationships from key people (Naomi, and the rest of the school, respectively). And finally, Adrianna is keeping a little something from Navid.
Well, we're back, after an inexplicable two week hiatus.
I forgot to mention at the end of last week's episode that the new girl, Kimberly, turned out to be an undercover cop.
