No Country for Old Men big winner at Academy Awards

The 80th Annual Academy Awards was a relatively short (at only 3 hours and 20 minutes) and relatively tame affair, almost as if there was little time to prepare for it.

SAG Award Winners: Sopranos, No Country take home biggest honours

With the Golden Globes a wash, and the Oscars in jeopardy, the Screen Actors Guild Awards was the one Hollywood awards show completely unaffected by the WGA strike (as SAG has been supportive of the Writers Guild from the beginning).

With the writers' strike still upon us and the 2008 Golden Globes coming and going as almost an afterthought, the nominations for the 80th annual Academy Awards were released from Hollywood on Wednesday.
