One of my favorite moments during Dave Letterman's final few weeks was Norm Macdonald's tearful salute. As he was performing a standup routine during one of Dave's last shows, he told a story of seeing Letterman do stand up when he was a kid which made MacDonald want to go into comedy.
One of the reasons why popular works of fiction remain well known through the ages is because they get homaged in later works of fiction. Homages are done to pay respect to these original works.
Much like my previous piece, 'They Shoot Simpsons, Don't They?', I must also preface this manifesto by admitting that throughout my life I have spent countless hours watching Fox TV and have genuinely enjoyed some of their fine programming. God forbid I come across like a 'hater'.
Today is April 5, 2012, the twenty fifth anniversary of FOX Network. In these last two and a half decades, we have seen a lot of shows come and go. Some were successful, and some were not. But one thing the network was not afraid to do, was to innovate.
