Love is in the air at McKinley and in more ways than one: Becky is setting her sights on Artie, Sam and Mercedes are relieving their 'Summer Nights", Beiste and Cooter apparently eloped, Will is trying to propose to Emma and Fichel's relationship is about to take a major step forward.
Leave it to Glee to come up with one of the wackiest Christmas episodes on TV this year. Not too much in terms of pushing storylines forward, but just a whole lot of goofy holiday fun; and some winks to Holiday TV specials of the past.
Normally this would be the week of a Christmas episode, but since Glee was on hiatus because of Fox's coverage of the World Series, we're a week or two behind.
Well apparently I spoke too soon! Last week I was applauding glee for having the guts to hold off on a teacher-student (Shelby & Puck) affair storyline, but before I could say 90210, here they are jumping in the sack together. I feel so naive. But according to Puck: he's hot, she's hot...
Kudos to Glee this episode for handling a common story in high school dramas: the student/teacher love affair. First of all, I totally forgot that Puckerman was 18, so he and Shelby together technically wouldn't be illegal.
Artie has been enjoying being a part of the directing team that's putting on West Side Story, which helps him realize he may have found his calling. He takes his directing so seriously, he decides to take it off the stage and into the lives of his peers.
New characters of Glee have been hit or miss. Sam, aka, Trouty Mouth, was a welcome addition but Sunshine Corazon never really caught much fire.
Here's a solid episode. We get some much needed screen time about some characters that may have been a little underused in the past.
Lots of stuff happening this week. Some old story lines were brought back and new ones took interesting turns.
Well as it turns out, Sam, aka Trouty Mouth has left McKinley because his dad got a job out of State.
