Bones: Four episode Catch Up!

A combination of me being very busy, and "Bones" airing episodes faster than I can type, puts this recap very late. Let's get to it!

The Doctor in the Den

Cam's ex-fiance (from about 10 years ago) is dead, killed by a new girlfriend of his. Cam is understandably upset, as is the ex-fiance's daughter, who is now 16. Cam (who is not her mother, but feels like she could be) offers Michelle (the daughter) a chance to come and live with her. Michelle accepts, so now Cam has a pseudo-daughter!

Oh yeah, and Angela is taking Sweets advice, and is being celibate. It proves to be rather hilarious as she finds everything, and everyone, arousing.

The Science in the Physicist

A big-wig at a physics institute dies in a crazy sciencey way. It has to do with meteorites, earthquakes, and pond scum. In any case, the pond scum guys did it, and Brennan gets to be really "science nerdy" in this episode.

ZZ Top (also Angela's father) appears in this episode, wanting to "talk" to Hodgins about breaking his little girls heart. Angela and Sweets both talk to ZZ Top, telling him that Hodgins is a good guy and the break up wasn't all his fault. However, in the end, Hodgins wakes up in the desert with a huge tattoo of Angela on his arm. Don't mess with ZZ Top's little girl.

The Cinderella in the Cardboard

A drunk chick with shaved toes who was trying on wedding dresses kicks it. There is a cell phone found that links the girl to Hodgins (they were using the same dating service). Turns out that the dating service coordinator killed her and tried to frame "Owen", a non existent guy.

Brennan thinks the Sweets' girlfriend, Daisy, is having an affair. She tells Sweets, who confronts Daisy, and it's all a big misunderstanding. They kiss and make up, and Brennan feels bad. She's jealous of people who think love is eternal, and Booth says that someday she'll feel like that too.

Hodgins gets a call from the dating service, telling him he has a "match". The photo he gets is of Angela. He closes his phone and moves on.

Mayhem on the Cross

A Norwegian version of Brennan finds a body at a death metal concert, but since he was American, his remains are sent to the Jeffersonian. Turns out he himself was a member of a death metal band, and a band mate killed him for "street cred". Brilliant.

The real story is Sweets' past. Undercover at a metal concert, Brennan uses Sweets shirt to stop someone from bleeding to death, and she sees whip marks on Sweets' back. Turns out that Sweets had a horrible childhood, but was saved by his adoptive parents at age 4. They have recently died, and Sweets is obviously looking for a "family" in Brennan and Booth. They both share some horror stories from their equally awesome childhoods, and everyone bonds a little. Aww.

Another shrink, played by Stephen Fry (remember when Booth needed a shrink for shooting at a clown car?), has read Sweets' manuscript about Brennan and Booth, and tells him what he thinks. One of the things Gordon disputes from Sweets' book is that Booth and Brennan are sublimating their sexual attraction through their work -- "One of them is acutely aware of that attraction, struggles with it daily, as a matter of fact." "Wow," Sweets says. "Which one?"

Which one, indeed!! Tell us!

Been loving Bones of late. And it was great to see Stephen Fry back for another appearance. *searches for A Bit of Fry and Laurie videos on YouTube*
