So You Think You Can Dance: Weekly Roundup

The problem here is that I'm so far behind on dancing shows. Which leads me to the real problem: this is why you can't have dancing shows in the fall. Everyone is too busy with other tv! Dancing shows are for summer! Sigh.

Even though I haven't seen any of last week's audition episodes or this week's Vegas rounds of So You Think You Can Dance: Original Flavour, I have managed to sneak in belated viewings of all of our Canadian shows and thus I am up to date.

So You Think You Can Dance Canada, Top 10/8 Weeks

Austin's and Amy's ousters? Not surprising. Cody? Not surprising either. Kim, on the other hand, wow. I absolutely saw her in the Top 4 (along with Tara-Jean, Everett, and hopefully Vincent).

You know, I feel surprisingly benevolent toward all of our Top 6 competitors (unlike say, Natalli last year), but the weird neck/shoulder thing Melanie does when she throws her arms around, and her extra-dipsy dances during phone numbers are starting to bug me. I would much rather see Tara-Jean and Jayme Rae in the Top 4 over her.

Ditto Emanuel. He's done well during the Top 20 and I haven't hated him at all, which really surprised me, but both Everett and Vincent are much easier to watch. Emanuel also has weird neck/shoulder things going on and sometimes he is too intense and I feel as though he may reach through the tv screen and tear my heart out of my chest. Um, or something.

As for the U.S. show, I am Cat-deprived and planning a marathon catch-up session over this holiday weekend. Happy eating turkey and giving thanks, fellow Canadians!

Thanks for the recap Ariana!!! I totally agree with you on Emmanuel, and I am starting to feel sorry for the girls he is paired with, who apparently have to rehearse with choreographers, crazy!!! I feel like its his time to go and may actually vote for some boys next week, as opposed to my crazy redialing for Tara-Jean. I think Jamie Ray will also make it to the Top 4, shes done really well, and reminds me of Janine, the winner of the US show.

As for the US show I have stopped watching the Auditions and Vegas call backs and now wait for the top 20 to start, hopefully around the same time that the Canadian version crowns the winner, too much dancing. not enough time!!! Happy Turkey Day.

I am finding it much to difficult to keep up with both shows. I will be glad when we are down to one again. I've watched almost no auditions.

I also feel pretty good about the top 6. I am disappointed that Kim is gone though. I really liked her and wanted her to be top 4.

I would like Jayme Rae and either Everett or Vincent in the top two (I am finding it hard to choose between them). And I would like Jayme Rae to win. I think that she is pure awesome.
