2025 Winnipeg Folk Festival Preview

Finally, another Winnipeg Folk Festival is nigh! This is no ordinary year, though... it's the 50th anniversary!! This prairie celebration of music, art, and community has been bringing joy for half a century, my friends.
The 2025 edition of the Winnipeg Folk Festival will take place July 10–13, in Manitoba's Birds Hill Provincial Park.

The Stanley County Cut-ups were everywhere at the 2024 Winnipeg Folk Festival. Besides their own concert, they were in several workshops throughout the weekend.
We get political here on Order Up, Matt pulls a switcheroo and we chat with Dewayne White who enlightens us on weiner wisdom helping us set our frankfurter boundaries.
Friend of the podcast Charlene Ward joins us in the studio with Mary Kennedy visiting us all the way from L.A. We talk hot dogs, Philly Cheesesteak, and Kelly's ex's winerettes.
Going into the film Materialists, I didn't know much about the film. The buzz seemed to imply it was a romantic comedy. What I did know was the writer/director Celine Song had once reenacted the Chekhov play "The Seagull" on The Sims 4 and streamed it on Twitch.
I recently chatted over Zoom with Eric Hicks (Cardinal, Bad Blood, Schitt's Creek), who is now starring in the Lifetime movie Girl Taken.

We live out Mary's childhood fever dreams as Alison Arngrim returns and brings along her friend Dean Butler. We get really into the weeds around hot dogs, and Alison once again plays it smart and brought hot dogs to the hot dog episode. We also talk about the upcoming new adaptation of Little House on the Prairie.

As a film critic reviewing an action franchise, I feel like you already hate me. It's assumed that I'm going to dunk on this movie, because my tastes are inherently going to be pretentious.
Written and directed by Andrew DeYoung (Our Flag Means Death, I Love That for You), Friendship is the ultimate fake out.
