My pick for tonight: The Bachelorette, even though you KNOW Everybody's Favourite Chandler is going home.
The 36th Annual Winnipeg Folk Festival came to a close on Sunday night with a main stage performance by Celtic folk icon Loreena McKennitt, while over at Big Blue @ Night, Great Lake Swimmers finished things off. Prior to that, Patrick Watson (and his band, now called The Wooden Arms) awed and amazed at Big Blue, while legendary folk singer Arlo Guthrie pleased the big crowd on the main stage.
When the show ended on Thursday, Jesse was just walking in the house and screams could be heard from the other houseguests.
Multi-genre band Bellowhead were the surprise of the day at the Winnipeg Folk Festival on Saturday, as the UK-based 11-piece band played their unique blend of folk, rock, ska, jazz, soul, and world music to roaring (and dancing) crowds on the main stage. Several spontaneous conga lines were even formed.

My pick for the weekend: If I had HBO, I'd be catching the 6th-season premiere of Entourage on Sunday night.

This year's Big Brother goes along the High School Cliques theme and Julie tells us that everyone will be divided into 4 groups: the Athletes, the Brains, the Populars, and the Off-Beats.

My pick for tonight: By now, you know how I love TLC's Say Yes to the Dress... But you could always watch the Russell Peters special on CTV at 10 p.m.
If you've been following our Twitter updates on the left side of our home page (or directly at twitter.com/showbizmonkeys), then you know what Day 2 of the Winnipeg Folk Festival was like -- the music was great, the atmosphere was awesome, and the weather was all over the place.
So, who is thrilled that Big Brother 11 is starting tonight? I don't know about you but it's the highlight of my summer. Yes, I have no life. That being said, let's take a look at what this season is going to bring us.
The theme is High School Cliques. Something Big Brother would come up with.
