It's been a while since the Winchesters have heard anything about Michael and have decided to take an unorthodox approach to catching the archangel – enter Garth. Sam called Garth to have him infiltrate Michael's ranks and learn more about his plans.

After last week's failure with the Gabriel's grace, Jack has passed away. With the loss of their latest friend, Castiel and the boys are at a loss. After the three of them spend a night drinking, Dean wakes up to find a much older Lily Sunder there. At first he's taken back but Sam has an idea to save Jack and she might be the one person that can help.
What just happened?
After he collapsed on the floor, the Winchesters rush Jack o the hospital in the hopes of discovering what is happening to him. Following several medical tests, the doctors don't know what's wrong but they do know that his body is shutting down.

With Sam out on a hunt with Charlie, Dean is left alone with Jack at the bunker and the depowered Nephilim is getting pretty stir crazy. Much like Dean, Jack feels guilty over what has happened with Michael.
The life of a hunter just got that much worse.
After Maggie fails to update her regular check in, Sam and Dean watch her body cam footage and see that she may have been taken by a ghoul. With no time to waste, the two drive out to Oklahoma and investigate the property where she was last seen.

After finding Dean in his room, binging Hatchet Man horror movies and eating pizza he knows that he has just the case to get his brother out of his funk. Fortunately enough, Sam just found something in Salem, Ohio where a man was attacked by a Panthero action figure.
A trip to Sioux Falls for the Winchesters always has two things: Jody Mills and dead bodies.
After Sam brings Dean back to the bunker, he can see that his brother is uneasy. Dean, however, wants to remember what happened and is startled when he sees two large scars on his arm.
Monsters don't always come from below.
After finding a tip on the Michael's possible location, Sam, Bobby and Mary are off to Duluth while Castiel stays back to babysit Jack and Nick. After arriving at the local morgue, the three of them see that the eyes of the victims have all been burnt out; clearly the work of an angel but there's something more here.
The sky is blue, the grass is green and the Winchesters are back.
It's bene three weeks since Sam last saw his brother be overtaken by the archangel Michael. After a failed trip to Atlanta to find his brother, he arrives back at the bunker which has transformed from his home to a central headquarters for hunters.
