It's official. The 51st Winnipeg Folk Festival is entirely sold out! We're talking single day tickets, full weekend passes, and every camping option available for the fest's 2026 edition running July 9–12. Yowza! I don't have official statistics yet to confirm the following statement, but I think this might be a new record.
Somewhere around mid-February a wire in my brain fried, temporarily disabling my recognition of subtleties, the nuances of bad and good -- the mechanism commonly known as taste. Eventually the coils will mend and the neurons will resume firing but for the moment I am imprisoned in a world of absolutes. Our Family Wedding is bad, unconditionally, irrefutably bad. I know that much.
Despite a reward challenge where James almost had to leave the game because of a mysterious leg injury, things were pretty much the same in Survivor-land. The Heroes proved to be pretty much anything but heroic once again, and the Villains were once again working as a tight unit -- at least during the challenges, that is. Oh, and Russell "knighted" Coach.
