Synopsis

While U.S. Marine Corporal Megan Leavey, who is also a Military Police K9 handler, is stationed in Iraq. While there she befriends one of the aggressive dogs, Rex, and the two save countless lives in their missions to seek out hidden bombs and IEDs.

When Megan is injured and sent home to the States, she can't bear to be separated from Rex as he is left to continue active duty. She fights to give him the hero's welcome home he deserves and adopt him as her own. He's saved her life countless times, so now it's her turn to return the favor.
