This week: Coach has to make a decision between Matt and J.D., Tyra's cowboy continues to make waves in her life, Julie makes a fashion statement that raises Coach & Tami's eyebrows and Tim Riggins takes some business advice from Buddy Garrity and Flip This House.
This week is all about beginnings and endings. It marks the end of Smash's time in Dillon. It brings about the resolution to Tami & Buddy's war of the jumbotron. It also seems to be the end of things for Landry and Tyra. But it's the beginning of something for Matt and his mom.
The Riggins and Collette clan are out for a night at the rodeo.
This week: the Riggins brothers have got 99 problems, Buddy and Mr. McCoy continue to try to persuade Coach to start J.D. and the Panthers have a game against Arnett Mead on Friday. The Panthers never beat Arnett Mead.
Billy Riggins is having money problems.
This week: Tami and Buddy Garrity face off over the jumbotron, Gramma Saracen's worsening dementia forces Matt to grow up quicker than he'd like, and Tim Riggins eats a raw pigeon.
Tami is in hot water with the boosters and the rest of the town over her decision to re-allocate the jumbotron funds towards academics.
Welcome back Panther fans! It's the start of the season for Friday Night Lights, and a new season of football for the boys and girls of Dillon, Texas. At the end of last season, the bosses over at NBC came up with an innovative way of keeping the show's lights on, and production costs were split between the network and the digital satellite provider DirectTV.
This week, things are not so rosy for everybody in Dillon, Texas. Smash Williams is out, possibly for good; the Panthers might become the first high school team in history to win the Texas state championship and then not make the playoffs the next year; and Julie continues to feel abandoned by her mother.
This week features the multi-talented Tim Riggins in a number of roles, including chef, decorator, punching bag, volleyball assistant coach and getaway driver. Oh, and somehow, he managed to judge the shootout competition at the NHL all-star game too.
With the departure of Shelly last week, the Taylors have to figure out what to do with Gracie during the day. Tammy struggles with leaving Gracie at daycare, and she makes three attempts to leave her and ends up bringing Gracie to school with her three days in a row.
