Interview: Meric Long and Logan Kroeber of San Fransisco indie alt-rock band The Dodos

Posted by: Paul Little  •  February 18, 2011 @ 1:21am

In the relatively short time he's been a full-time musician, singer/songwriter James Struthers has been compared to several established and popular artists. Friday at the Winnipeg Folk Festival was all about sunburns, heatstroke, and -- oh, right -- great music

Posted by: Paul Little  •  July 10, 2010 @ 1:09am

On the first full day of the Winnipeg Folk Festival, the story was the sun and the heat. Posted by: Paul Little  •  October 17, 2009 @ 8:37pm

At this past summer's Winnipeg Folk Festival, I got the chance to see some incredibly amazing performers, both young folk acts just coming into their own, as well as some classic names in folk and roots music. Between Loudon Wainwright III, Arlo Guthrie, Elvis Costello, and Loreena McKennitt, there was no shortage of legends hitting the stage.
