After finding a tip on the Michael's possible location, Sam, Bobby and Mary are off to Duluth while Castiel stays back to babysit Jack and Nick. After arriving at the local morgue, the three of them see that the eyes of the victims have all been burnt out; clearly the work of an angel but there's something more here.

It's bene three weeks since Sam last saw his brother be overtaken by the archangel Michael. After a failed trip to Atlanta to find his brother, he arrives back at the bunker which has transformed from his home to a central headquarters for hunters.

Jack snaps up in his bed, safe in the bunker when he suddenly hears Sam and Dean outside the room – talking about how relieved they ae now that he's back. He feels a sense of calm until the alarm begins to sound. Sam and Dean are trapped inside of a burning room and need his help.

Much to Sam and Dean's disbelief, Castiel has returned. Unlike the last time their winged friend returned from the dead, he remembers everything; even how he annoyed a cosmic being into resurrecting him. As much as they are surprised to see their dear friend back, they know that Jack will be more stunned than they were.

After Dean finds a case in Madison, Wisconsin, he is ready to hit the road but Sam wants o bring Jack with them. Dean isn't happy about that idea but Sam convinces him to give the kid a chance. Surprisingly, it's Jack that needs the real convincing.

Still adjusting to being alive again, Mary Winchester is feeling pretty off. Dean doesn't see it but Castiel and Sam notice that she isn't adjusting – she's struggling.

After Amara used the dim mak on Chuck, the creator lies on the floor knowing that his time is coming to an end. Lucifer was also cast out of Castiel and now they are down an archangel and Amara was able to withstand their best shot and walk it off moments later. That's when Rowena gets them to take a look outside.

After pulling an all-nighter and drinking the rest of the coffee, Sam may have found something that can help them fight against Amara that's only referred to as the Hand of God. It's kind of a catch all phrase but it's used to describe items on earth that were touched by God that still have traces of his power.
