Synopsis

Set four years since the events of the first film, when Jack Reacher (Tom Cruise) returns to the headquarters of his old military unit, he finds out he's accused of a homicide that took place 16 years earlier.

He also finds out that his former Army Major, Susan Turner (Colbie Smulders), was arrested for treason. Knowing she is innocent, Jack must break her out of prison and uncover the truth behind a major government conspiracy. On the run as fugitives, Jack finds out that it is only a part of something bigger than he thought, as he uncovers a secret from his past that could change his life forever.
