Ah, here we are at last: the finale, the episode with perhaps the most accurate title quote of the season.
Will this season, like so many others, be determined by last-leg taxi karma? Click through to find out!
After the requisite season recap from Phil, we begin with Nick & Starr.
Ah, yes. Moscow. We're still here. Did you know it's the largest city in Europe? I didn't.
Nick (wearing a Starr original "Today is my birthday" t-shirt) & Starr, the designer herself, start us off with a clue directing them to Moscow. That's in Russia. You know, in case you missed that day in third grade social studies.
The teams are leaving late at night to Almaty, Kazakhstan, so Nick & Starr and Toni & Dallas find a hotel with some helpful concierges to research flights online for them. Starr and Dallas flirt the whole time, but I can't decide if it's cute or sad.
The first task sends teams through New Delhi to an apartment complex, where they'll search for a large courtyard and their next clue. The shot we see definitely indicates that this is the, er, colourful task that had teams so angry in the previews for this episode.
And first up, to provide maximum paint-covered time, is that task.
Guess what, people? It's India time! You know what that means: crowds, traffic, cows, and smells that nearly seep right through your television screen.
In this largely uneventful episode that barely shuffles teams around, teams are instructed to fly to Siem Reap, Cambodia.
I am very, very excited about this episode, because as you can see from the title, we're going to New Zealand. And the reason this is exciting is because I have actually been there, unlike pretty much everywhere else they go on the race.
Big ups to my good pal Sarah for her stellar recap last week, which allowed me to finish packing pre-move. And now, I'm all moved in and here to recap this episode, which is titled as it is due to Marisa & Brooke offering some marginally cute airline employee some candy in hopes he'll... book their flight faster? I don't know.
We're going to Anchorage! Shades of Season One! I am so excited for this episode that cannot have a horrible outcome. It could have two outcomes that are less awesome than one outcome in particular, but no horrible outcomes. Unless no one wins. Hmm.
And, in all seriousness, I am jealous. I want to go to Alaska quite badly.
