SAG Award Winners: Sopranos, No Country take home biggest honours

With the Golden Globes a wash, and the Oscars in jeopardy, the Screen Actors Guild Awards was the one Hollywood awards show completely unaffected by the WGA strike (as SAG has been supportive of the Writers Guild from the beginning).
Three sitcoms from the same comedy block; two medical dramas quite different from each other; a couple hour-long comedies looking at opposite ends of the social spectrum; some mysterious people with super powers; a critically-acclaimed but ratings-starved drama; and of course, a serial killer who's actually kind of endearing.
Sugar Sammy likes to push the PC envelope in his stand-up set, but not in the ways you might think. When most people in North America see a comedian of colour, stereotypes come to mind, and there are automatically assumptions made about their brand of comedy.

Oscar nominations: There Will Be Blood and No Country for Old Men lead with 8 a piece

With the writers' strike still upon us and the 2008 Golden Globes coming and going as almost an afterthought, the nominations for the 80th annual Academy Awards were released from Hollywood on Wednesday.
After taking a year off last year for a variety of reasons, we're back with our annual Top 10 list of favourite movies compiled from our entire staff. We pride ourselves in the fact that not only do our movie critics take part in our year-end favourites poll, but all our employees.
With the departure of Shelly last week, the Taylors have to figure out what to do with Gracie during the day. Tammy struggles with leaving Gracie at daycare, and she makes three attempts to leave her and ends up bringing Gracie to school with her three days in a row.
