Synopsis

This psychological drama features Barkin as a mother of a fractured family who welcomes home their son who had been missing for years. When the details of his sudden reappearance don’t quite add up, the suspicions of a determined FBI agent (Janssen) are raised. As pieces of a mysterious puzzle fall together, an unveiled past reveals deep and dark secrets. This bizarre true story is based off the best-selling novel by Christophe D’ Antonio.

The project was inspired by a real person profiled in an August article in The New Yorker titled The Chameleon: The Many Lives of Frederic Bourdin. Bourdin assumed at least 39 identities, three of them missing teens.
