Synopsis

Following his father's death, aspiring New York writer Sal Paradise (Sam Riley) meets Dean Moriarty (Garrett Hedlund), a charismatic but wild ex-con, and his girl Marylou (Kristen Stewart).

Together they embark on a road trip across the country for a taste of freedom and inspiration, in search of the unknown. Through their travels they meet a diverse group of people who will change their lives forever.

Adaptation of Jack Kerouac's On the Road, which chronicles Kerouac's years traveling the North American continent with his friend Neal Cassady.
