Synopsis

Based on the novel of the same name by Ben Fountain, this war drama tells the story of 19-year-old Billy Lynn (Joe Alwyn) after he and seven fellow soldiers are sent back home to the U.S. for a "Victory Tour" following a particularly harrowing battle in Iraq. As the tour continues, Billy discovers an unsettling truth and increasingly becomes more disenchanted with how war heroes are treated. Through various flashbacks, we discover secrets from Billy's past and exactly what happened in Iraq.
