Synopsis

In this modern retelling of the 1972 novel of the same name, Surgeon Paul Kersey (Bruce Willis) fails to save his wife after she and their daughter are brutally attacked during a home invasion.

Feeling like a failure due to his inability to protect them, and as a result of the police not offering much assistance, Kersey resorts to vigilantism to get retribution on the people who hurt his family and help take care of crime in Chicago.
