Synopsis
NSI FilmExchange Canadian Film Festival (March 1-4, 2006) is an annual celebration of Canadian screen achievement. Hosted each winter in Winnipeg, NSI FilmExchange brings together some of Canada's most respected film and television executives, writers, producers, directors and the brightest talent in the country into a dynamic and intimate atmosphere where new works are celebrated and important industry connections take place.
The objective of NSI FilmExchange is to further the development of Canadian film, television and new media by providing a forum in which emerging and established talent come together to exchange ideas and screen outstanding 100% Canadian short and feature films.
NSI FilmExchange Canadian Film Festival events include:
- SnowScreen — a unique outdoor movie experience projected on a 10 x 8 foot screen made entirely of snow
- World Premiere NSI Drama Prize short films
- Daily Showcase of Canadian Short films
- Panorama of Canadian Feature Films
- Film and Television Industry Centre featuring professional development sessions and daily networking events
- Master classes and panels in writing, directing and production for film, television and new media works
