Synopsis

El (Chosen Jacobs) lives with his stepfather and two stepbrothers, who take every opportunity to taunt and tease him. His stepbrothers also make sure El gets all the extra work in the shoe store "Laces," which his late mother owned, and which his stepfather now runs.

El's mother taught him how to design sneakers, but his stepfather just wants El to do his job as a stockboy. El's best friend Sami (Devyn Nekoda) recognizes El's talent and encourages him to pursue it. When El sneaks out with Sami to a new sneaker launch, he meets Kira King (Lexi Underwood) and winds up spending the day with her. Although he falls hard for her, he doesn't realize that she's the daughter of the King family, famous for designing fancy new sneakers for their well-known brand.
