"Last time as Team One."
The series ended with a rather disappointing finale. The thing that hurt it the most, was that this episode relied three times on making it look like a character had died, when in fact, they survived. First, it was Clark. Then it was Sam. Finally, it was Greg.
"Avoid public buildings."
Episodes that deal with a mad bomber are always fun to watch, especially when the bomb blows up. Bombs force the show out of the formula of resorting to negotiation, and de-emphasize the humanity of the criminals behind their destructive intentions.
"I didn't take the shot."
"Fit For Duty," was one of those episodes where not shooting the bad guy right away actually made sense, as shooting him could potentially hurt the victim. In the case of this episode, the victim was a little baby, who had been kidnapped by a musician who was going through some fugue state.
"Well, if you're gonna be a lawyer, you're gonna need an undergraduate degree."
Actually, that is not true. Greg is wrong here, as he found out that his son was accepted into university. But more likely, it is the show's writers that are uninformed.
"Do not think you are off the hook."
There were two god awful all too familiar stories that were present in "Lawmen," that have been way overused in the genre of the police drama. The first story was that of the renegade police officer, that was willing to be the bad guy in order to punish the criminals.
"Call it a humanitarian mission."
The most polished script of the series was found in the latest episode, "We Take Care of Our Own." It had the perfect timing of the upcoming Remembrance Day, and of the new Canadian twenty dollar bills coming out.
"He lives with constant flashes of intrusive memory."
Flashpoint seems to always have villains that pull off the genius kidnappings that ultimately backfire. Last season, Spike was taken hostage for his computer skills.
"They're going on an assassination run."
"Below The Surface," took place in the middle of some ugly biker gang politics. Inside of this mess, were Kate and Luke, who both wanted to see the biker gang go down.
"I know what I'm doing. My father was a doctor."
Colin, the antagonist in "Sons of the Father," was one of the worst criminals the Strategic Response Unit has encountered so far.
"If you call the cops, I'm dead."
"Eyes In" was one of the few episodes of Flashpoint that actually emphasized characterization of a Team One member, as opposed to just making them the weekly enemy of the criminals.
