Flashpoint: Keep The Peace (Part 2)

"Last time as Team One."
The series ended with a rather disappointing finale. The thing that hurt it the most, was that this episode relied three times on making it look like a character had died, when in fact, they survived. First, it was Clark. Then it was Sam. Finally, it was Greg.

"I didn't take the shot."
"Fit For Duty," was one of those episodes where not shooting the bad guy right away actually made sense, as shooting him could potentially hurt the victim. In the case of this episode, the victim was a little baby, who had been kidnapped by a musician who was going through some fugue state.

Actually, that is not true. Greg is wrong here, as he found out that his son was accepted into university. But more likely, it is the show's writers that are uninformed.

There were two god awful all too familiar stories that were present in "Lawmen," that have been way overused in the genre of the police drama. The first story was that of the renegade police officer, that was willing to be the bad guy in order to punish the criminals.

Flashpoint seems to always have villains that pull off the genius kidnappings that ultimately backfire. Last season, Spike was taken hostage for his computer skills.

Colin, the antagonist in "Sons of the Father," was one of the worst criminals the Strategic Response Unit has encountered so far.

"Broken Peace" is the first episode of the final season of Flashpoint. The plot is a deliberate parallel to the Pilot episode, wherein Scorpio, the Strategic Reponse Unit's last resort, had to be called to break up a family squabble gone wrong.
