Being the second last episode of the year Alcatraz starts putting their season finale in motion. Well slow motion really. Alcatraz gets a jazz club, an inmate kills for human hair, and Hauser may have found a cure for Lucy the extent of the excitement.
In "Webb Porter" most of the episode's story follows Lucy treating an inmate in 1960.
Apart from being a place to lock up some of the most appalling members of society prisons are also used as faculties for rehabilitation.
Part two of the Monday night double header continues with the night's second episode; "Sonny Burnett".
After last week's rain delay at the Daytona 500 stole Alcatraz's Monday time slot the show returns with a double feature evening this week.
It was bound to happen sooner or later but seven episodes in Alcatraz delivers its first 'meh' episode. If television had a scale for good and bad entertainment this week's episode "Johnny McKee" would remain horizontal the whole way through.
Alcatraz started easing in their audiences with some of the sick & twisted variety of felons in the beginning but it looks like they are getting to the hard-core criminals as of late.
