After Sash and Brenda took out the crazy-haired Marty last week, things got even crazier this week -- and I'm not talking about the destruction at camp. The "power couple" were suddenly on the outs, as everyone apparently realized who was running the game.

Tonight's gonna be a quick review/recap of the latest episode of Survivor -- unlike the episode itself, which went on and on and on. This wasn't necessarily a bad thing, though. Things went slow because it was all about strategy and voting this week, with both teams heading to Tribal Council in a now-regular twist.

I know I'm sounding like a broken record now, but these castaways really are frustrating to watch! The few that seem likable aren't getting any screen time, and we're just left with a lot of whiny NaOnka, bossy Tyrone, and conceited Marty.

I've read it elsewhere, including Dalton Ross' EW.com blog, but this fact about Survivor: Nicaragua can't possibly be overstated: there are not a lot of likable castaways this season. And with one of the few worth rooting for (Super Bowl-winning coach Jimmy Johnson) being sent home last week, it made for a very painful episode to watch.

So here we are -- fall has come, and another season of Survivor (its 21st!) is upon us. Another group of strangers, a mix of young and old regular people have once again been sent to a tropical locale (this time, the Central American country of Nicaragua) and forced to survive the elements, the challenges, and each other in an attempt to win $1,000,000 as the Sole Survivor.

20 seasons into Survivor, and it just keeps going strong. Sure, it's way down in the ratings from its first couple seasons, but most broadcast television is down these days, and Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains still managed to win Thursday night in most ratings categories all season.

Everything is flying by on Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains! Tonight, there were two tribal councils, and two castaways were sent home. And just like that, we're down to our final six. I guess something had to give, since we're approaching the end of the season, but I still don't like it when the votes go by quickly like this -- it makes the process feel less significant.

Will this season ever have a bad episode?!? Each time something happens that makes it seem the next episode is going to lose some momentum, something crazy happens, and this week was no exception. Were the previews from last week right? Could JT be as stupid as it seemed? Would Russell continue to control Heroes vs.
