What's On This Weekend: January 7-9

This weekend's pick: Saturday Night Live (11:30pm, NBC)

There's not a lot going on over the weekend to get excited about. Even Sunday nights, which have a full slate like Monday through Thursday, don't have the kinds of shows that personally interest me. So this weekend, I'm going with SNL, because the last time Jim Carrey hosted (way back in 1996) was one of those great classic episodes. I'm hoping Carrey will bring his older zany self to the show and take it over, like the best hosts always do. Anyway, here's one of my favourite sketches from that 1996 show:
