Just for Laughs is a comedy institution -- an iconic name not just in Canada but around the world. Besides the long-running comedy festival in Montreal every year, JFL also runs festivals in Chicago and Toronto, has multiple television shows, and regular promotes comedy tours across Canada.
The current tour -- with stops still to come throughout Western Canada -- features a rotating mix of top comic talent, including Darrin Rose, host of Match Game and co-star of CBC's Mr. D. I got the opportunity to speak with Rose in the middle of the tour from his hotel room in Owen Sound, ON, and we spoke about the other comics on this tour, his experience with Just for Laughs, Match Game, and what new TV comedy he's really enjoying these days.
If you're west of Ontario, be sure to check out one of the many remaining dates on the "Comedy Rat Pack Edition" of the Capital One Just for Laughs Tour. Below is the list of the shows to come and the comics appearing in each city. Visit comedytour.hahaha.com for tickets.
