The new film Can You Ever Forgive Me?, starring Melissa McCarthy, had its world premiere Saturday at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). The film is based on the true story of biographer Lee Israel, who become a master forger to earn money when her career took a downturn.
In attendance on the TIFF red carpet were McCarthy; co-stars Richard E. Grant, Dolly Wells, and Christian Navarro; and director Marielle Heller.
Can You Ever Forgive Me? opens wide Oct. 19.
