Synopsis

The Young Victoria chronicles Queen Victoria's (Emily Blunt) ascension to the throne, focusing on the early turbulent years of her reign and her legendary romance and marriage to Prince Albert (Rupert Friend). She became queen at 18, and devastated by her husband's death in 1861, she wore black for the rest of her life and remained largely secluded.
