This documentary tells the tale of 20 Auschwitz prisoners who risked their lives in order to make a book in the shape of a heart to give to Fania, a fellow prisoner, for her 20th birthday on December 12, 1944.

The book today is on display at the Holocaust Commemorative Centre of Montreal and contains the wishes of its 20 authors. In the heart of evil, these women committed a crime of humanity. In their attempt to find the authors, the filmmaker tries to bring their beautiful gesture back to life.
