Synopsis

When Ted (Seth MacFarlane) tells his best friend John(Mark Wahlberg) that he and his girlfriend Tami-Lynn (Jessica Barth) want to have a baby, everyone is thrilled.

After failing to get Tom Brady to unknowingly donate sperm, Ted asks John to donate and things go awry, forcing the two to come up with an alternative, adoption. In order to adopt a child, the state is requiring that Ted prove that he is not just a toy in a court of law.

With the help of a young lawyer named Samantha Jackson (Amanda Seyfried), Ted and John set off to fight for Ted and his rights to be recognized as a person.
