After Dean finds a case in Madison, Wisconsin, he is ready to hit the road but Sam wants o bring Jack with them. Dean isn't happy about that idea but Sam convinces him to give the kid a chance. Surprisingly, it's Jack that needs the real convincing.

After a psychic is found dead inside of her shop, Dean gets a call from Missouri Moseley to meet in Omaha, Nebraska. Sam suggests that they send Jody to handle it while they watch Jack but Dean refuses to babysit and let Jody take all of the risk.

A road trip with the devil's son is just about as complicated as you would expect.
After the events of last week, the Winchesters and Jack are headed back to the bunker in the impala. Dean still doesn't trust Jack but Sam thinks that he might be taking the loss of Castiel and Mary quite hard.

The Devil has a son and his name is Jack.
After walking into the room with the newly born, naked, young adult Nephilim, Sam is kinda terrified. He asks Sam if he is his father but doesn't get the answer he was hoping for. Then Dean runs into the room and shoots the Nephilim. The result is the Winchester brother waking up hours later with no sign of the Nephilim known as Jack.

After arriving at Mary's hotel, the Winchesters find it empty and their mother nowhere to be found. Moments later, Sam gets a call from Sheriff Jody telling him that Eileen Leahy was found dead in South Carolina after an apparent animal attack in an area that has never been known for it to occur.

Since there mother hasn't checked in for more than a day, Alicia and Max Banes call Mary Winchester looking for help but instead, they get Sam and Dean. Dean is reluctant but Sam stresses that they have no leads on Castiel and may as well try to occupy themselves while they wait.

Ok, this girl has lost her mind.
After weeks without calling or texting, Castiel saunters into the bunker – much to the shock of Sam and Dean. Sam is happy to see him return but Dean has some harsh words for his angelic friend that made so little effort to get in touch with them. Castiel accepts the blame and admits that he was with the angels in heaven but they have nothing.

Just as they arrive back at the bunker, Sam and Dean see Mick sitting at the table. Mick begins to tell them about a cosmic shockwave that recently hot his radar but they already know – it's the Nephilim.
