New Music Releases: October 13th, 2009

After a lengthy hiatus, Showbizmonkeys' New Music Releases column is back, here to bring the best and the rest of music to your attention as it is released.

Bob Dylan Christmas In The Heart (Amazon)

This is the 47th album from the American folk music legend (seriously) and his first ever Christmas release. All proceeds from the current and future sales of this album will go to the Feeding America organization in the United States and in Canada they will be donated to the World Food Programme.

David Archuleta Christmas From The Heart (Amazon)

Apparently, 'Tis the Season to release Christmas albums. If they can start selling Halloween candy in July, why not? Christmas from the Heart is the second studio album and first Christmas album from the American Idol Season 7 runner up. The pint-sized songster croons his way through twelve holiday favorites, plus one new track 'Melodies of Christmas' that he co-wrote.

Sugarland Gold And Green (Amazon)

Gold and Green is actually a Christmas album, not a Green Bay Packers tribute album as some of you may have originally guessed. It's the first ever holiday album from the country duo.

Mario D.N.A.(Amazon)

Grammy-nominated R&B singer Mario releases his fourth album this week, D.N.A. You may also recognize him as the guy Hilary Swank swears at in Freedom Writers or Miles Darby from Step Up.
