Review: 30 Minutes or Less

Premise may be important when putting a story on screen, but that doesn't mean it has to also be realistic -- not for comedies, at least. Characters might be similar from flick to flick, but it's the fresh -- and often ridiculous -- situations they are put in that make a funny film.

At only 26 years of age, Aziz Ansari has already accomplished quite a lot in the world of comedy. He's won accolades for his stand-up comedy, including the Jury Award for "Best Standup" at the 2006 U.S. Comedy Arts Festival.

2008 North American* Genius Monkey Comedy Award

The North American* Genius Monkey Comedy Award is given to a comedian -- sketch, stand-up, and/or improv -- who is on their way up. It's not necessarily given to the absolute funniest comedian working today, as it's not an award for someone who is incredibly well-known to the general public.
