"And the only friend I have, I lie to him every day, and I hate it."
This week's episode, "Family Time," managed to absolve Continuum, after last week's disastrous episode.
There are normal episodes, there are obscure episodes, there are zany episodes, and then there are "what the hell is going on?" episodes.
"Beta testers can be real losers."
The quality of writing took a severe nosedive in "Playtime." Instead of focusing on the usual themes of political ideology and terrorism, this episode of Continuum went the horrible way of commenting on video games brainwashing its players into becoming killing machines.
"I would rather keep a secret from you, than break a promise to you."
"The Politics Of Time" centers around the death of a reporter that spent her final evening with Carlos. To make matters more complicated, the reporter had been a thorn in Carlos' politician friend, Jim, and the date of the election was very soon approaching.
The plot twists have started, the characters' paths begin to intertwine, and the blood continues to flow. True Blood moved things up a notch this past episode and altered the direction of a few story arcs along the way.
"Hopeless" gave a great feeling of uncertainty and excitement this week all at the same time.
If Eric Kripke hadn't already created a TV series called Supernatural (and an awesome one at that), it would have been a more apt title than True Blood the way things are shaping up lately here.
"I may be a man of the year, but right now I feel like the luckiest man in the world. Thank you."
The series two finale of Episodes centered around the Man of the Year Award ceremony that was honouring Merc. All the screwings and fumblings of the last two seasons have finally caught up to everybody in this episode.
A quiet evening watching the folks in Bon Temp as True Blood's adventurous side takes a Sunday night off from their bread and butter 'blood & sex' routine, to have another plot prepping episode. "We'll Meet Again" may have not dazzled any audience members this week but it did open up some new storylines.
Okay, quick recap.
The best way to slow things down after last week's official introduction of 'The Authority' is do what True Blood does best, random sex scenes. And lots of them.
"We need hot Matt. Not fat Matt."
This episode centered around the concerns of Matt's weight gain.
